About the Role

Micro1 is seeking skilled Codex Users to support a high-impact AI project focused on improving the capabilities of next-generation AI coding agents. This fully remote contract role is ideal for software professionals who actively use AI coding assistants such as OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools in their daily development workflows.

Your real-world experience will help train and enhance AI systems by providing practical insights into how AI coding tools solve complex software engineering challenges. Prior AI research experience is not required—your hands-on technical expertise is what matters most.

Key Responsibilities

• Share detailed examples of using AI coding assistants for complex software development tasks.
• Document real-world workflows involving large codebase navigation, debugging, code optimization, and architectural improvements.
• Provide comprehensive walkthroughs of feature development and technical problem-solving using AI tools.
• Explain your development process, decision-making, and how AI tools improved productivity and code quality.
• Evaluate AI coding agent performance and provide structured feedback for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate remotely with project teams through clear written and verbal communication.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience using AI coding agents in software development.
• Current STEM professional with hands-on experience integrating AI coding tools into daily workflows.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and complex programming challenges.
• Experience navigating large codebases, debugging applications, or implementing architectural changes.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and constructive feedback.
• Familiarity with multiple AI coding assistants and an understanding of their strengths and limitations.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
