About the Role

Veta Virtual is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to support one of our key financial services clients. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong knowledge of U.S. accounting standards, who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and enjoys working remotely with global teams.

As an Accounting Manager, you will take full ownership of client accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. You will also act as a trusted financial partner to client stakeholders, helping them make informed business decisions through clear reporting and insights.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role requiring strong technical accounting expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly in evolving environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for U.S.-based clients, including reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Serve as the primary accounting contact for client stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery of reportsr
• Maintain compliance with U.S. accounting standards while applying startup-friendly accounting practices
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, expense management, and vendor/client interactions
• Integrate and optimize external financial tools with QuickBooks Online (QBO) to improve accounting workflows
• Work with tools such as Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, and accounting automation platforms (e.g., Brex, Bill.com, Ramp, Gusto)
• Identify and leverage AI-driven and modern accounting tools to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Support financial decision-making through accurate reporting and actionable insights

Requirements

• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably with U.S.-based companies (CPA certification is a plus)
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and startup accounting principles
• Experience in client-facing or public accounting environments
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Familiarity with tools such as Slack, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Zoom, and accounting automation platforms
• Experience integrating third-party tools with QBO is highly desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• High level of ownership, organization, and attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setup
