About the Role
Carter Lumber is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our National Accounts design team. This remote role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys managing information, and excels at communication across teams and locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage project workflows using MiTek Management systems
- Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Take detailed meeting notes and organize information using OneNote
- Maintain accurate document filing and data entry for complex projects
- Coordinate and manage Outlook calendars and internal communications
- Organize files and shared systems for easy team access
- Maintain customer databases and contact records
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Provide administrative support across multiple manufacturing locations
- Travel occasionally to support training on processes and procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in administrative support, record keeping, or data entry
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, OneNote, file systems)
- Experience creating and maintaining SOPs
- Excellent organizational and note-taking skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently
Work Environment
- Fully remote, work-from-home position
- Requires extended periods of sitting, typing, and phone communication
- Occasional travel may be required
