Overview
We are seeking a motivated Associate Software Engineer with approximately one year of hands-on experience to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an early-career professional eager to build modern web applications, sharpen technical skills, and collaborate with experienced engineers in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle—from designing and building features to testing, deploying, and maintaining applications—while adhering to best practices in performance, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions and implementation plans
- Develop and maintain scalable web applications and internal tools
- Write clean, efficient, and secure code following industry standards
- Troubleshoot issues, perform bug fixes, and conduct basic root-cause analysis
- Build and execute unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality releases
- Participate in code reviews and follow version control best practices (branching, pull requests)
- Assist with deployment processes, environment setup, and release management
- Maintain clear and concise technical documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and team knowledge sharing
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- ~1 year of professional software development experience
- Working knowledge of:
- Node.js
- JavaScript
- PHP
- Python
- MySQL/MariaDB or other relational databases
- Linux environments
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in digital marketing or direct marketing environments
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
Additional Information
- Location: Remote (U.S.-based candidates only)
- Compensation: $65,000 – $86,500 (plus performance-based incentives)
