Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our dynamic remote team. In this role, you will partner with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver accurate financial reporting, provide actionable insights, and support strategic decision-making.

You will oversee key accounting operations while maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and accounting records
  • Develop and maintain accounting systems, policies, and procedures
  • Analyze business performance, including costs, revenues, and expenses
  • Perform QuickBooks cleanup and journal entries
  • Reconcile bank, merchant, and PayPal accounts
  • Deliver accurate financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, and ad hoc reports)
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure financial clarity
  • Support ongoing accounting and administrative tasks as needed

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements
  • High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
  • Excellent communication and client management abilities
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Work Environment

  • Fully remote role (U.S. Central or Eastern Time Zone required)
  • Standard Monday–Friday business hours
  • Dedicated home office required
  • Occasional travel may be required
