Role Overview
We are seeking a customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our Customer Experience team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional support across multiple communication channels while ensuring customer satisfaction, issue resolution, and a smooth user journey.
This role is best suited for someone who is proactive, tech-savvy, and passionate about creating outstanding customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via live chat, email, and other assigned channels
- Identify customer needs and provide accurate, timely solutions
- Troubleshoot issues by researching internal documentation and tools
- Maintain clear, professional communication across all customer interactions
- Upsell relevant product features when appropriate
- Build strong customer relationships through proactive engagement
- Guide users on how to effectively use Africhange’s platform and services
- Maintain detailed records using CRM systems and internal tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues
- Meet individual and team performance targets (quality and efficiency)
- Participate in continuous improvement of customer support processes
- Adapt to rotating shifts in a 24/7 support environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Relations, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service or call centre roles
- Experience in fintech or financial services is an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in handling live chat and customer support tools
- Comfortable using Google Workspace and CRM systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
- Tech-savvy with good PC literacy
- Adaptable to shift-based work schedules
- Team-oriented with a strong customer-first mindset
