Role Overview

We are seeking a Legal Document Production Team Leader to lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for delivering accurate, high-quality legal documentation. This role blends people leadership, operational management, and continuous improvement, ensuring excellent service delivery and strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of document production specialists
  • Set clear performance expectations and monitor progress
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings, and performance reviews
  • Provide hands-on support for complex or high-risk tasks

Operations & Service Delivery

  • Manage daily workflows, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and turnaround
  • Act as the first point of escalation for operational or client issues
  • Ensure team meets service level agreements (SLAs) and targets

Process Improvement & Quality

  • Monitor performance metrics and address quality issues proactively
  • Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
  • Maintain documentation of workflows and best practices
  • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Address client concerns effectively and professionally
  • Support service reviews and contribute to long-term client success

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years in legal document production
  • At least 2+ years in a team leadership or management role
  • Proven experience handling complex legal documents

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong expertise in document formatting (styles, templates, tracked changes)
  • Familiarity with tools such as PDFdocs, DocuSign, and digital dictation software
