Role Overview
We are seeking a Legal Document Production Team Leader to lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for delivering accurate, high-quality legal documentation. This role blends people leadership, operational management, and continuous improvement, ensuring excellent service delivery and strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of document production specialists
- Set clear performance expectations and monitor progress
- Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings, and performance reviews
- Provide hands-on support for complex or high-risk tasks
Operations & Service Delivery
- Manage daily workflows, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and turnaround
- Act as the first point of escalation for operational or client issues
- Ensure team meets service level agreements (SLAs) and targets
Process Improvement & Quality
- Monitor performance metrics and address quality issues proactively
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
- Maintain documentation of workflows and best practices
- Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Address client concerns effectively and professionally
- Support service reviews and contribute to long-term client success
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years in legal document production
- At least 2+ years in a team leadership or management role
- Proven experience handling complex legal documents
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong expertise in document formatting (styles, templates, tracked changes)
- Familiarity with tools such as PDFdocs, DocuSign, and digital dictation software
