Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manager, Legal & Compliance Services to lead legal and regulatory operations across multiple markets.

In this role, you will ensure the company operates within legal and regulatory frameworks while enabling business growth. You will serve as a trusted advisor to internal teams, translating complex legal requirements into practical, business-friendly guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary legal advisor to internal stakeholders across the business
  • Review business initiatives, product changes, and partnerships to identify and mitigate legal risks
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including vendor and partnership agreements
  • Maintain and manage a centralized contract register (obligations, renewals, timelines)
  • Oversee contract execution, storage, and internal awareness
  • Manage relationships with external counsel, including briefing and cost control
  • Lead regulatory filings, licensing processes, and correspondence with authorities
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on operations
  • Maintain a compliance calendar and ensure timely adherence to all obligations
  • Translate regulatory requirements into internal policies and operational processes
  • Support internal investigations and compliance reviews
  • Conduct risk assessments for new markets, products, and operational changes
  • Document findings and track remediation efforts

Requirements

  • LL.B + BL (Call to Bar required)
  • Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in corporate law or compliance
  • Experience in regulated industries (health insurance, fintech, or financial services preferred)
  • Strong expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Proven experience engaging with regulators (filings, audits, correspondence)
  • Ability to interpret legal frameworks and convert them into actionable business guidance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Solid understanding of corporate governance principles

Nice to Have

  • Experience with health insurance regulations (e.g., NHIA)
  • Exposure to multi-jurisdictional legal/compliance environments
  • Experience supporting board-level governance and reporting
  • Familiarity with digital health or health-tech business models
