Role Overview
We are seeking a Manual QE Engineer (Contract) to support the quality assurance of our iOS and Android mobile applications. You will play a key role in ensuring stable, high-quality releases by executing structured regression testing, identifying critical defects, and supporting release validation cycles.
This is a hands-on execution role focused on manual testing excellence, exploratory testing, and precise bug reporting. The contract is initially for 3–6 months, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute regression testing cycles across iOS and Android release candidates on diverse device and OS matrices
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases not covered by automation
- Write detailed, high-quality bug reports with clear reproduction steps, logs, and severity assessments
- Participate in bug triage and assist in validating fixes during release cycles
- Support release-day testing, including smoke testing and post-release verification
- Collaborate closely with engineers and release managers to ensure smooth delivery
- Maintain and update test cases, regression checklists, and documentation in test management tools
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on manual QA/QE experience for mobile applications (iOS & Android)
- Strong expertise in structured bug reporting and defect lifecycle management
- Experience running full regression cycles in scheduled release environments
- Solid exploratory testing skills with a risk-based approach
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, or similar
- Experience with real device testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
- Excellent written English and strong async communication skills
- Availability for at least 4 hours daily overlap with CET working hours
Nice to Have
- Experience testing fintech, crypto wallets, or Web3 applications
- Familiarity with browser extension testing (Chrome, Firefox, Brave)
- Basic knowledge of logs and debugging tools (e.g., Charles Proxy, Logcat, Xcode Instruments)
- Exposure to release management or RC gating workflows
- Understanding of testing strategies and the role of manual testing in the test pyramid
