Risk & Payments Operations Analyst at GR8 Tech

About the Role

GR8 Tech is seeking a Risk & Payments Operations Analyst to safeguard our sportsbook ecosystem against fraud, financial leakage, and operational risk. In this role, you will monitor real-time transactions, investigate suspicious activity, and take decisive action to protect platform integrity and profitability.

This is a fast-paced, high-impact position suited for individuals who thrive under pressure and can make accurate, data-driven decisions in real time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Real-Time Monitoring & Fraud Detection

• Monitor and validate live deposit and withdrawal activity using internal tools and fraud detection systems
• Identify and respond to suspicious patterns such as carding, AML risks, account takeovers (ATO), and payment abuse
• Analyze player transaction behavior to detect fraud rings and bonus abuse schemes

2. Risk Management & Execution

• Take immediate action on flagged risks, including account freezes, transaction holds, and payment restrictions
• Initiate and manage KYC and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes
• Handle chargebacks and resolve complex payment-related cases while maintaining SLA standards

3. Collaboration & Process Improvement

• Work closely with Compliance, Payments, and Finance teams to investigate anomalies and potential breaches
• Maintain detailed, audit-ready documentation of investigations and actions
• Identify system gaps, report bugs, and recommend improvements to fraud detection rules and workflows

Requirements

Must-Have

• 1+ year experience in fraud prevention, risk operations, or financial crime monitoring (iGaming or FinTech preferred)
• Strong understanding of payment systems (cards, e-wallets, chargebacks)
• Ability to make fast, independent decisions with high accuracy
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (24/7 schedule: morning, evening, night)
• Intermediate English (B1+) for communication and documentation
• Fluency in Ukrainian or Russian

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau)
• Familiarity with fraud detection tools (e.g., SEON, Sift, Accertify)
• Basic SQL skills for data analysis and validation
