Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accountant (German Speaking) to join our Central Finance Team. This is a key position responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations for multiple international entities within our growing SaaS portfolio.

You will report directly to the Director of Accounting & Tax and work closely with the CFO, Group Controlling Lead, and business unit leaders across our portfolio companies.

This role offers strong exposure to international accounting standards, group reporting, consolidation, and M&A-related finance operations within a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned entities, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, billing, tax, and revenue recognition
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations with proper documentation and controls
• Prepare financial reports, analysis, and commentary for management reporting
• Support group consolidation and monthly reporting processes
• Oversee VAT, GST, and sales tax filings, as well as statutory financial statements and audits
• Manage intercompany transactions and support international billing processes
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and accounting service providers
• Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, and controls
• Contribute to financial governance and operational efficiency across entities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with NetSuite
• Prior experience in a SaaS or software environment
• Strong knowledge of AR, AP, GL, payroll, taxation, and audit processes
• Experience with billing or revenue tools (e.g., Stripe, Chargebee)
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS
• Experience supporting external audits and statutory reporting
• Strong analytical, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent time management and ability to meet strict deadlines
• Professional fluency in German and English (mandatory)
