Senior Frontend Developer at Social Discovery Group

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join the Cupid Media product team within Social Discovery Group, a global leader in social discovery platforms serving millions of users across 150+ countries.

In this role, you will take ownership of building and scaling modern, high-performance web applications that power meaningful user connections across diverse international dating and social platforms.

You will work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and senior leadership to deliver seamless, responsive, and secure user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Development

• Build and maintain scalable web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Develop responsive, mobile-first interfaces for optimal cross-device performance
• Ensure clean, maintainable, and reusable code across projects

Architecture & System Design

• Contribute to frontend architecture decisions and long-term technical planning
• Collaborate with backend teams to ensure seamless API and UI integration
• Suggest improvements to existing frontend systems and workflows

Frameworks & Tools

• Develop applications using React and modern frontend libraries
• Implement best practices in component-based architecture and state management
• Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends

Quality & Performance

• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and performance
• Identify and resolve UI performance bottlenecks

Security & Reliability

• Apply frontend security best practices (OWASP principles, CORS, etc.)
• Ensure robust and secure handling of user-facing features

Collaboration & Leadership

• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features
• Participate in technical discussions with senior leadership and CTO

Debugging & Maintenance

• Use debugging and monitoring tools to diagnose and fix production issues
• Manage and track issues using tools such as JIRA

Requirements

• Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
• Solid experience with React.js
• Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS
• Understanding of frontend security principles (OWASP, CORS, etc.)
• Experience with Git and GitHub workflows
• Proven experience building web or mobile web applications
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
