About the Role

ReWorks Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist with experience in medical billing and healthcare revenue cycle management. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in a remote environment and have a strong understanding of U.S. insurance billing processes.

You will play a key role in ensuring accurate claims submission, timely reimbursements, and efficient billing operations while working closely with internal teams and insurance providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit accurate medical claims to insurance payers
• Identify and resolve billing errors, inconsistencies, and compliance issues
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure timely resolution
• Maintain and update patient billing records and invoices
• Communicate with insurance providers, patients, and internal teams to resolve billing inquiries
• Apply payer-specific rules and stay updated on U.S. billing regulations and coding standards
• Reconcile payments and investigate discrepancies in billing accounts
• Contribute to process improvements to reduce claim denials and improve efficiency

Requirements

• Proven experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management
• Strong knowledge of medical coding, insurance claims processes, and payer requirements
• Experience working with U.S. healthcare billing systems (preferred)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote environment
• Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR/EMR)
• Understanding of healthcare compliance and regulatory standards
